Nebula Saga Chapter 25

Chapter 25: Nebula Gray

Last time, Megaman and his team continues their trek through Nebula's HQ, and soon had a run in with Cloudman and Cosmoman. Megaman and the others were able to defeat the two Darkloids, but the remainder of his teammates have been sucked into the Dark Galaxy along with Roll and the others! When Lan finds Regal and his captured father, Yuichiro, the evil scientist activates SoulNet and links the minds of all people on the planet to SoulServer, can Lan and Megaman stop Regal all by themselves and save the world?

Around the globe, SoulNet begins to link the minds of people around the world. In Netopia, in Sharo, in Creamland, in Yumland, in Netfrica, and even Electopia.

Inside the Soul Server Room, the Navi Liberation Team and Yuichiro falls under the influence of the SoulNet as they feel the pain of it.

"Dad, everyone..." Lan said.

"Ha ha ha... SoulNet is finally complete. Now the true World of Darkness that I have dreamed of will become a reality! As of now, all the souls of every human on the planet is now linked to the Soul Server." Regal.

"It's not over yet Regal!" Lan shouted, then Regal looks at the boy and sees that he is unaffected by SoulNet.

"Hmm? SoulNet hasn't affected you. You're not wearing any MagnoMetal are you?" Regal scowled.

"I don't know what you're talking about, the only thing I'm wearing is..." Lan said then he realizes it and look at his grandfather's amulet. "... Gramps' amulet!"

"I should have known. He made these amulets out of MagnoMetal, the only material able to block SoulServer's signal." said Regal.

"I see... So that explains why I wasn't affected by the servers around Den City. That's good to hear..." Lan said with relief.

"Hmph! No matter. My plan is almost complete. All that's left is to install Nebula Gray on SoulServer." Regal grinned evilly.

"Just what is Nebula Gray anyway?!" Lan asked.

"I'm glad you asked..." said Regal as he shows Lan a small device he's holding. "Nebula Gray is a dark program I developed. It has the power to amplify the negative energy inside souls that were already full of emotions. As of right now, people around the world are linked to this Soul Server over SoulNet. Once Nebula Gray is installed, what do you think will happen then?"

"Lan! Remember happened with those server around Den City!" Megaman shouted as he came up on a holographic screen. "Everyone in Den City including our Mom and friends were filled so much hate, sadness, and anger when they fell under one of the server's influence."

"And since Soul Net is covering the whole planet, then every human and Navi on the planet will be the same!" Lan gasped.

"That's is correct. Once that happens, my World of Darkness will finally be born! The darkness within every living soul will soon come to light, and I will bring about a new era for humanity and it's future!" Regal laughed evilly.

"That won't happen Regal! As long as there is light and hope, there is always a way!" said Lan.

"Then let's see you prove it to me... Install! Nebula Gray!" said Regal as he installs the program into the Soul Server.

"Lan, jack me in! We must stop Regal and his evil plan!" Megaman yelled in determination.

"Yes! Come and get me, Megaman! You will meet your end here and now!" Regal declared.

"You're going to pay for what you have done, Regal! For my friends, my family, and my team... We're taking you down once and for all! Let's go Megaman!" Lan shouted.

"Yeah! Let's finish this Lan!" Megaman shouted.

"Jack in! Megaman, execute!" Lan yelled as he jacks Megaman into the SoulServer.

Moments later, Megaman entered a creepy Cyberworld which is inside the SoulServer.

"I made it into the SoulServer Lan!" said Megaman.

"That's great! Now let's hurry and delete Nebula Gray! The world is depending on us both!" Lan yelled.

"Roger!" Megaman nodded as he heads for the end, but when he reaches for the center, he stops.

"What's wrong, Megaman?" Lan asked.

"I sense something coming..." Megaman stated, then suddenly, four Dark Rifts appear. "Dark Rifts, but what are they..."

Before Megaman could finish, Blizzardman, Shademan, Cloudman, and Cosmoman came out of the Dark Rifts much to the annoyance of the blue Navi.

"Not you guys again!" Megaman scowled.

"Why do they always come back for more?" asked an annoyed Lan.

"Whoosh! This is as far you go!" Blizzardman taunted.

"We have come back three times to even the score with you once and for all Megaman!" Shademan yelled.

"That's right! Megaman, we won't stop until we delete you!" Cloudman replied.

"Now! It is time for you to meet your end Megaman." Cosmoman smirked, as the Darkloids surround Megaman as they prepare to advance towards him.

"I don't have time to deal with all of you!" Megaman yelled in anger.

"Woosh! You think you can defeat Nebula Gray?" Blizzardman asked sarcastically.

"What a laugh! That would be impossible for even you Megaman." said Shademan.

"Your friends are trapped within the Dark Galaxy and you are all alone now." said Cloudman

"Your efforts in stopping Dr. Regal's plan to create his world of darkness has been wasted. You will now fall to power of darkness!" said Cosmoman as he prepares to attack Megaman. "Disappear Megaman!"

"Delta Ray!" a voice suddenly rang out, then suddenly the Darkloids eyes widen in shock and fear.

"I-Impossible!" Cosmoman shuttered as Protoman, Colonel, Magnetman, and Knightman came out of the Dark Rift and slashed and punches Cosmoman injuring him.

"Protoman! Colonel!" Megaman yelled happily.

"We heard you voice as we wandered the dark reaches of space." said Protoman.

"We will take care of the Darkloids! Your voice has drawn everyone from the darkness." Colonel explained as he pointed to the rest of their team with Searchman, Numberman, Meddy, and Toadman facing Shademan, plus Gyroman, Shadowman, Napalmman, and Tomahawkman facing Cloudman.

"Whoosh! Looks like I will have to..." before Blizzardman can continue, a voice a yelled out.

"Guts Punch!" Gutsman appeared and punches Blizzardman, then Roll and Glyde came out of the Dark Rift!

"Roll! Gutsman! Glyde! You're back!" Megaman yelled happily.

"That's right. You and Lan came this far! We had to do our part too! So let's finish this so we can go home!" Roll winked at Megaman.

"Leave to me!" said Megaman as he continues forward to Nebula Gray knowing that this friends and teammates are alive.

The Navi Liberation team along with Megaman's friends prepare to face the Darkloids.

"Fools! How dare you interfere with with us!" Cosmoman sneered.

"We won't let you get in Megaman's way again." said Colonel.

"That's right. If there is anyone with power to stop Regal and Nebula, it's Lan Hikari and Megaman. Now is time we put and end to you Darkloids once and for all!" said Protoman.

"Don't get ahead of yourselves!" said Cosmoman said as he and the other Darkloid now fight against the team.

Roll, Gutsman, and Glyde are currently fighting Blizzardman.

"Blizzard Breath!" Blizzardman shouted as he breaths out an icy breath in which Roll and Glyde jump out of the way, but the breath hits Gutsman freezing him, but he breaks free.

"Shockwave!" Gutsman shouted as he slams his ground sending a shockwave toward Blizzard which hits, then Roll and Glyde appear in front of him.

"Glyde Flash!" Glyde shouted as he unleashes a flash of light blinding Blizzardman.

"Roll Whip!" Roll shouted as she uses his headbands to whip Blizzardman damaging him.

"Why you... Rolling Slider!" Blizzardman shouted as he rolls towards the three.

"Get behind me!" said Gutsman as Roll and Glyde did so, then Gutsman blocks Blizzardman's attack and punches him.

Searchman, Numberman, Meddy, and Toadman are currently fighting Shademan.

"Scope Gun!" Searchman shouted as he fires a shot from his rifle at Shademan.

"Number Ruler!" Numberman shouted as he throws a ruler at Shademan.

"Noise Crush!" Shademan shouted as he unleashes a powerful blast of sound which stops Searchman and Numberman's attacks and blast them away a few feet.

"Meddy Capsule!" Meddy shouted as she throws black capsules at Shademan which explodes blinding him.

"Gah! I can't see!" said Shademan.

"Toad Slap!" Toadman shouted as he slaps Shademan multiple times.

"Why you! Darkness Wing!" Shademan shouted as he summons a swarm of bats towards the team in which they dodge.

Gyroman and Shadowman along with Napalmman and Tomahawkman are fighting Cloudman.

"Thunder Ball!" Cloudman who as he summons balls of lightning at the four Navis.

"Gyro Mode!" Gyroman shouted as he transforms into a helicopter and flies with Shadowman following him using his speed.

The two dodges the lightning balls as Tomahawkman stands in front of Napalmman receiving the hits for him due to his Status Guard.

"I got your back!" said Tomahawkman.

"Cross Spark!" Cloudman shouted as he summons more clouds that unleash lightning bolts in cross formation, but  Gyroman and Shadowman dodge them due to their speed.

"Gyro Air Raid!" Gyroman shouted as he fires bombs at Cloudman.

"Fire No Jutsu!" Shadowman shouted as he fires an explosion at Cloudman.

"Elec Storm!" Cloudman shouted as he hides in one of his clouds dodging the attacks and unleashes a thunderhead.

"You won't escape from this! Tomahawk Air Raid!" Tomahawkman shouted as he throws his axe which slashes all of the clouds exposing Cloudman.

"Vulcan Gun!" Napalmman shouted as he summons a guy and fires shots at Cloudman which hits.

Protoman, Colonel, Magnetman, and Knightman are facing off against Cosmoman.

"Cosmo Buster!" Cosmoman shouted as he fires artificial planets at the four Navis.

"Magnet Barrier!"

"Stone Body!"

Magnetman and Knightman use their defensive techniques to block the planets, then Protoman and Colonel charge for Cosmoman.

"Sonic Boom!"

"Screen Divide!"

Protoman and Colonel fire diagnol slash attacks against Cosmoman who summons a black hole to absorb the attacks.

"Cosmo Gate!" Cosmoman shouted as he summons a meteor towards Protoman and Colonel, but they dodge it.

"Magnet Missile!" Magnetman shouted as he fires a magnet at Cosmoman which paralyzes him.

"Royal Wrecking Ball!" Knightman shouted as he swings his mace and strikes Cosmoman dealing heavy damage.

Meanwhile, Megaman reaches the end of the Cyberworld and saw a huge Dark Rift with a blue flame in front of it.

"This is Nebula Gray?" Megaman asked, then Regal came on a screen.

"Yes. Several years ago, I successfully digitized a man's evil soul. I then amplified that data and built a system that converts it into various forms. That's Nebula Gray. The DarkChips are made in the plant below by grafting evil souls amplified by Nebula Gray onto chip data." Regal explained.

"So you're saying the power the of Dark Chips were once human?" Lan asked.

"Exactly! The Dark Power will endure while humans walk this Earth. And as long as it endures, the Dark Galaxy will continue to grow!" Regal said.

"That won't happen! Megaman! This is it! Destroy Nebula Gray!" Lan told Megaman.

"Roger!" Megaman replied.

"Heh heh heh... Humans are their own worst enemy... Hate breeds hate, which in turn brings Dark Power for all eternity, like the universe itself! Behold, Nebula Gray, man's evil soul!" Regal yelled out.

Suddenly, the blue enters the Dark Rift, then suddenly a dark red, purple, and black monster that looked like an ugly gorilla came out of it and roared.

"What is that?!" Megaman gasped.

"It is an evil soul in material form... Can you match it's power? Go Nebula Gray! Spread your evil!" Regal ordered.

"Lan!" Megaman yelled as he got into a battle stance.

"OK, this is it! Last operation, set!" Lan yelled.

"Execute!" Megaman shouted.

Nebula Gray roars unleashing streams of black flames against Megaman who dodges them.

"MegaBuster!" Megaman shouted as he fires his MegaBuster at Nebula Gray but did no damage. "It didn't work..."

"Your MegaBuster won't be of any use you Megaman. The Dark Chips only carried a partial piece of the Dark Power. It is time you witness the full package of it. Go Nebula Gray!" Regal shouted.

Nebula Gray shoots a ball of fire towards Megaman who dodges it, then it begins to follow him.

"Uh oh!" said Megaman as he continue to run from the flames.

"Hang tight Megaman! NeoVariableSword Battlechip in, download!" Lan shouted as he forms NeoVariableSword and slashes the flames away and makes his way towards Nebula Gray.

Suddenly, Dark Megaman appears and forms a Dark Sword and stops Megaman's NeoVariableSword.

"What the?!" Megaman gasped.

"Dark Megaman?! But how?!" Lan gasped as Dark Megaman slashes Megaman sending him back.

"As I said mentioned before, the Dark Soul is born from the power of a Dark Chip which was created using the Dark Power in which its source is Nebula Gray." said Regal.

"So in other words, since the Dark Souls are born from the Dark Power, they are originally a part of Nebula Gray." said Megaman.

"That's right. And just like Dark Megaman, Nebula Gray can use the power of all the Dark Chips at his disposal. Observe..." said Regal.

Dark Megaman summons a shower of dark meteors which make their way towards Megaman who evades them.

"We won't lose here!  Recovery 200 Battlechip in, unite!" Lan shouted as he inserts the chip, then Megaman transforms into his Meddy Soul.

"Double Soul Meddy Soul!" Megaman shouted.

Cannonball and White Capsule Battlechips in, download!" Lan shouted as he drags the chips from his holographic screen and inserts them, then Megaman throws a cannonball at Nebula Gray which hits not only damaging him but paralyzing him at as well. "Yes he's paralyzed! Now Megaman!"

"Meddy Capsule!" Megaman shouted as he throws the exploding capsules at Nebula Gray damaging him, but Nebula Gray turns into a dragon and launches himself towards Megaman and strikes him dealing damage.

"Megaman!" Lan shouted in worry.

"I'm fine Lan. It's going to take more than that to take me down!" said Megaman.

"Then let's see if you can withstand this..." said Regal, then Dark Megaman appears and summons dark bamboo lances towards Megaman who evades them.

"AirHockey Battlechip in, unite!" Lan shouted as he inserts the chip, then Megaman transforms into his Knight Soul.

"Double Soul Knight Soul!" Megaman shouted.

"Drill Arm Battlechip in, download!" Lan shouted as he inserts the chip, then Megaman forms a drill in his right arm charges for Nebula Gray.

Nebula Gray shoots more flames at Megaman, but he uses his shield to block the attack and then he strikes Nebula Gray with his drill damaging him. Nebula Gray roars in pain but he punches Megaman away.

"Royal Wrecking Ball!" Megaman shouted as he swings his mace to strike Nebula Gray but he blocks it and shoots flames at Megaman hitting him and damaging him knocking him down.

"Megaman!" Lan shouted.

"Is that all you can do with your power Lan?" Regal asked.

"Not even close! Slasher Battlechip in, unite!" Lan shouted as he inserts the chip, then Megaman transforms into his Proto Soul.

"Double Soul Proto Soul!" Megaman shouted.

"Z-Saber Battlechip in, download!" Lan shouted as he inserts the chip, then Megaman summons the Z-Saber in his right palm.

"StepSword!" Megaman shouted as he dashes towards Nebula Gray and slashes him three times with the Z-Saber healing some heavy damage, then Nebula Gray roars in pain.

"Yes! We got him! Now to take him down! FireSword, AquaSword, ElecSword, and BambooSword Battlechips in, download!" Lan shouted as he inserts the chips.

Dark Megaman appears again and fires a ball of dark lightning towards Megaman, who blocks it with his Proto Shield, then Megaman forms a glowing sword filled with elemental power.

"Program Advance! Element Sword!" Megaman shouted as he dashes towards Nebula Gray and slashes Nebula Gray with four different Elemental WideSwords dealing heavy amount of damage.

"Yes! That's the way Megaman! We got him!" Lan cheered, but hears and notices Regal laughing. "What are you laughing about Regal."

"It's amusing seeing that you think you can win, but in reality. Your efforts are hopeless." said Regal.

Nebula Gray suddenly unleashes a barrage of arms on one of them grabs Megaman.

"Megaman!" Lan shouted, then Nebula Gray begins to drain Megaman of his HP.

"He's... draining my energy..." Megaman said weakly.

"You got to break free Megaman!" Lan shouted.

Megaman struggles to break free and was able to free himself from Nebula Grays' grasp, but the Proto Soul wears off and Megaman is has become weakened.

"Now you see that it is pointless. Nothing can defeat Nebula Gray. You are doomed when you decided to oppose me Lan, and you have doomed Megaman for your idiocy! Go now, Nebula Gray!" Regal shouted, then Nebula Gray shoots another fireball at Megaman which hits damaging him majorly.

"Megaman!" Lan shouted.

"It's over. There is nothing you can do to withstand the power of Nebula Gray. The power darkness is unlimited. So you might as well accept your fate, and become a part of my world. The very world in which both my father and your father had desired." said Regal.

"No... Gramps wanted build SoulNet to create a world where everyone is linked with each other. It not meant to turn people into those who are filled with hate and anger. Even Wily would not something like this!" Lan yelled.

"Foolish child! My father has fallen into his darkness after he was exiled! His hatred for your Grandfather and the Net society he founded was the very darkness that made him who he is now! And now, with the world of Darkness born, he will finally be happy with what has finally been done." said Regal.

"No... He won't be happy..." said Megaman as he gets up. "You think that your father would be happy with what you have done. Wily may have been our enemy when Lan and I fought against him in the past, and he tried to destroy Net Society many times. But I'm sure he never wanted this."

"That's right. You're ruining the very dream that the both of them envisioned. You may think that it's impossible to defeat the power of darkness, but my friends' Navis are fighting believing that we can win. They won't stop believing in both me and Megaman, and we won't stop believing in them!" said Lan.

Megaman stands once more and approaches Nebula Gray once more.

"Regal! Your evil ends here now!" Megaman shouted.
